The management of the University of
Ibadan has announced the closure of the institution following the on-going mass
protest by students.
The students were told to vacate the
halls of residence and the university before 4pm on Tuesday.
The students are protesting over the
rustication of one Michael Tunji-Ekpeti, 500 Level Petroleum Engineering,
who was said to have participated in a mass protest last semester over lack of
electricity in his hostel.
